Each year, the Sims team works in collaboration to gather and donate snowsuits, hats, mittens and warm clothing for local children in need. Through their partnership with The Hamilton Children’s Aid Society, Sims puts together a snowsuit drive beginning each November. Donations come from staff, clients, friends and family. Using social media, email marketing and good old fashion word of mouth – the team reaches out to potential donors. The initiative has become a holiday season tradition.
Last year, over 90 snowsuits were delivered to The Children’s Aid Society. Over 200 hats and mittens, plenty of other warm clothing and a cash donation to buy additional clothes was also delivered. Staff at the CAS are very appreciative – Sims has been partnering with the organization since 1997.
What makes the campaign successful is the enthusiasm within the Sims organization. Each of the employees play a role in the campaign – from organization to individual donations. This wonderful team effort ensures the holiday spirit is alive and well at Sims.
